Meet Federico

Born the 15th December in Cagliari, a charming Italian town with 154,000 inhabitants and the proud capital of Sardinia, Federico Tidu’s culinary journey began at the tender age of 13.

Enrolled in the Hospitality School in Cagliari, he started working alongside his father in a butchery shop. Over the years, this experience cultivated a robust work ethic and honed his butchery skills under the watchful guidance of his meticulous father.

In 2002, Federico earned his Diploma in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services, marking a significant milestone in his educational journey. His passion for cooking burgeoned rapidly, fueled by an insatiable desire to explore culinary techniques, ingredients, and diverse perspectives within the culinary world.

EXPERIENCES

Past Experiences

Embarking on a global culinary adventure, Federico gained invaluable experiences in Michelin starred restaurants and luxury 5-star Hotels and Resorts. Notable establishments include the Tivoli Restaurant and Hotel Tyrol in Italy, Pilu at Freshwater, and Cable Beach Resort in Australia. His culinary odyssey extended to Tokyo, Japan, where he was captivated by the country’s richness, quality, and diversity of products. He contributed his skills to the esteemed Bvlgari Restaurant, listed among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.

In a thoughtful consideration of Australia’s culinary landscape, Federico found the opportune moment to spearhead a new fine dining establishment. Focused on showcasing the quality of local products and dedicated to delivering a unique dining experience, he took the helm at Limone Dining, where the mastery of culinary artistry takes center stage.

Achievements

Following that successful experience, Federico became a part of Jonah’s Restaurant in 2018, bringing forth a fresh and positive energy. His journey within the establishment led him to the distinguished position of Executive Chef. In this role, he delights in pleasing palates, emphasizing his expertise in seafood and showcasing his deep-rooted Italian passion through the artistry of crafting exquisite fresh pasta dishes.

Throughout his journey, Federico has been instrumental in curating and hosting countless private dinners, orchestrating memorable events, and delivering exceptional catering experiences. His dedication to crafting exquisite moments through culinary expertise has left an indelible mark, showcasing the passion for creating unforgettable occasions.
